Callum Jones of MJ Construction, Apprentice of the Year / Prentis y Flwyddyn

Callum Jones, a Level 2 Carpentry apprentice, has demonstrated exceptional commitment in his time shadowing master carpenters at MJ Construction. Overcoming a difficult upbringing, he's progressed from labourer to a skilled team player with resilience, drive, and talent, attributes which make him deserving of the Apprentice of the Year title.

Wedi goresgyn magwraeth anodd, mae wedi symud ymlaen o fod yn labrwr i fod yn chwaraewr tîm medrus ac yn meddu ar wydnwch, egni, a thalent, rhinweddau sy’n ei wneud yn deilwng o deitl Prentis y Flwyddyn.

Talbot Green Construction & Landscaping, Bathroom Project / Prosiect Ystafell Ymolchi

Effortlessly luxurious, this winning en-suite bathroom hides some serious engineering under its cool marble tiling. Talbot Green installed structural beams and floor joists to hold the weight of the freestanding bath and marble, along with a new ceiling and extraction ducts. The judges commented that the attention to detail is ‘second to none’.

Davies Contractors Ltd, Business of the Year / Busnes y Flwyddyn

Davies Contractors have exemplified a successful construction business over the last two years. They have overcome challenges by developing a supply chain diversification strategy and implementing a digital project management platform. The Davies Development programme also shows how important it is for them to invest in their staffs’ development in the business.

R & M Williams Limited, Commercial or Public Sector Project / Prosiect Masnachol neu Sector Cyhoeddus

This project revitalised the Grade II listed Palace Theatre into a modern workspace, overcoming significant dereliction and pandemic-related challenges. The building’s meticulous restoration also ensured the preservation of its historic features, and success stemmed from strong stakeholder relationships in this transformative project for Swansea's regeneration.

Dragon Homes Ltd, Housebuilder Award / Gwobr Adeildwr Tai

Dragon Homes stepped in to transform a stalled development, delivering 12 Lifetime Homes both ahead of schedule and under budget. Community and environment were at the heart of this project with a commitment to local skills and sustainability, using 100% renewable energy and zero-emission plant vehicles.

Camodd Dragon Homes i'r adwy i drawnewid datblygiad oedd wedi ei oedi, gan ddarparu 12 o Gartrefi Gydol Oes yn gynt na’r disgwyl ac o dan y gyllideb. Roedd y gymuned a’r amgylchedd yn ganolog i'r prosiect, gydag ymrwymiad i sgiliau lleol a chynaliadwyedd gan gynnwys defnydd o gerbydau ynni adnewyddadwy 100% a pheiriannau allyriadau sero.

Project One Design and Management Limited, Kitchen Project / Prosiect Cegin

Project One Design and Management Limited have shown how they can execute bespoke designs by paying attention the detail in little things. Judges expressed how utterly breathtaking the project is and how they have executed a project which is so elegant and visually seamless, using repeats to effortlessly link the spaces.

Mae Project One Design and Management Limited wedi arddangos eu gallu i gyflawni dyluniadau pwrpasol trwy roi sylw i'r manylion yn y pethau bach. Roedd y beirniaid wedi eu syfrdanu gyda’r prosiect a’r modd y cyflawnwyd cegin sydd mor ddi-dor yn weledol, gan ddefnyddio ailddarllediadau i gysylltu’r gofodau’n ddiymdrech.

Project One Design and Management Limited, Large Renovation Project / Prosiect Adnewyddu Mawr 

This project transformed a bungalow into a high-tech luxury home with a spa and cinema. Key features include extensive Control4 automation, 92 speakers, custom joinery, and unique bathroom fittings. Challenges included the extensive structural changes, cabling, and integration of complex technology. Client communication was managed well via a dedicated app.

Atlantic Dwellings Limited, Medium Renovation Project / Prosiect Adewyddu Canolig

With limited access and a family that needed to live on site, Atlantic Dwellings Limited took on this challenge to deliver an innovative extension that makes the most of vertical space with a mezzanine, without compromising on garden space. The complex design was brought to life in Lego to make visualising the plans easier for all parties.

Excel Home Design Ltd, Outstanding Builder of the Year / Adeiladwr Rhagorol y Flwyddyn

Russell Everett has a wealth of experience and has always shown genuine enthusiasm and passion for the projects he has worked on. Nothing is too much trouble for Russell and his team! The client commented: ‘there has been a meticulous approach to detail, a tidy, well-structured and organised building site throughout the project’.

Excel Home Design Ltd, Small Renovation Project / Prosiect Adnewyddu Bach

This project added a second floor to a home in Flemingston, creating a master suite with refurbished bathrooms. Highlights include a redesigned roof, sunlit book nook, and bespoke built-in storage units. Access / delivery challenges were overcome via careful planning, with Excel Home Design delivering high-quality workmanship throughout the build.

MJ Construction, Sustainable Building Award / Gwobr Adeiladu Cynaliadwy

Although not obviously an ‘eco home’ at first glance, this home’s luxurious finishes belie its sustainable credentials. Providing sustainable energy to this extended period home meant installation of a heat pump. Rainwater harvesting tanks along with waste treatment plants mean this home is almost entirely off-grid. A living roof provides insulation and cooling.
