What are the Master Builder Awards?

The Master Builder Awards celebrate high-quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service and building excellence delivered by Master Builder companies all across the UK.

Whether it’s showcasing innovative sustainability, magnificent renovations, quality house building or beautiful commercial projects, the Awards is an opportunity for Master Builder companies to receive the recognition they deserve.

Homeowners can also celebrate their favourite Master Builder who has gone the extra mile by nominating an outstanding company, an individual builder, or even their most exceptional apprentice.

2023 Master Builder of the Year Award winner

Vantage & Co Group Limited won the coveted Master Builder of the Year Award for this incredible resurrection of a Georgian villa standing in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. As the overall national award winner, Vantage & Co Group Limited also picked up keys to a brand new Isuzu Pick Up truck thanks to headline sponsor Isuzu UK.

One of only two original Georgian villas still standing in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, this project saw Vantage & Co Group Limited resurrect a structure that had fallen into almost total ruin, restoring it back to its former glory in magnificent style. The judges commented "We genuinely feel that it has been restored to one of the finest homes in central Birmingham".

The judges praised the authentic restoration, which introduced modern features to the property without disrupting its original character and feel.

Many of the original features have been retained and repurposed in what has once again become a functional and yet luxurious living space.

A feature of the project is the original Bath stone staircase, which has been fully restored with hand carved stonework by Vantage & Co’s Master Craftsmen.

An award-winning bathroom

In the bathroom, Vantage & Co took things back to brickwork to completely fit out the room with new Adger black gloss brick tiles, a freestanding Winchester bath, high spec chrome fittings and a contemporary Crittal-style shower screen.
