TrustMark
TrustMark is a government-endorsed quality scheme for trades that operate in and around the home. It is not possible to join Trustmark directly and you must join through a licensed Scheme Provider, the FMB being the largest for builders.
TrustMark is the UK's only government-endorsed quality scheme for trades that operate in and around the home.
Developed in 2005 with national government, industry and consumer protection bodies, it's aim is to give consumers confidence in the businesses they engage with to undertake work that is of high quality, protected and delivered at agreed costs.
How do I join TrustMark?
Builders can only join TrustMark through a licensed Scheme Provider who can support their trades. It is not possible to join TrustMark directly. We are one of the largest Scheme Providers and the only one that is specifically for builders.
Once you have passed all of the FMB's checks to demonstrate that you are a quality builder, you will need to take a few additional steps to add TrustMark registration to your FMB membership.
- You will need to read and comply with the TrustMark Code of Conduct and the TrustMark Customer Charter.
- You will need to provide a suitable financial protection policy to your customer with every job you do. Policies are available through FMB Insurance, and the process is quick and easy. This protects your customer in the unlikely event that you are unable to honour your guarantee to them, for example should you cease trading. This valuable benefit will make your quote stand out from the competition.
