Nigel project managed and completed work on a 1970’s house to update it and build an extension. He project managed all the work and provided costings prior to commencement. A wall was knocked through, and an old conservatory knocked down to create an L shaped kitchen, dining, sun room. The gas heating system was completely renewed and a new kitchen fitted. The site was left clean and tidy each evening and all workmen were reliable, trustworthy and did a good job. Nigel always was always last to leave the site having made sure it was safe and tidy and ready for the next day. The need for additional work to foundations was arranged by Nigel, and done with little fuss by specialists, causing minimal delay to the project. The final result is a modern, clean looking building that is a pleasure to live in. Living in the house whilst the work was being done was always going to be a challenge but they made it as easy as possible and the final result is great!

A Young's Extension & Construction Services Ltd provided the best build we've ever had at our home. The craftmanship, attention to detail and support was first class. On other renovations with other companies I felt like I did all the heavy lifting by purchasing supplies, making decisions and organising other tradespeople. In this instance, Nigel handled all of this for me, so I didn't get involved at all. It was wonderful. Nigel provided superb insight into solving problems that only a master builder with decades of experience could. The cleanliness of our renovation every night was as if we didn't have a renovation happening in our house at all. Even down to how he stacked the skip was neat and tidy. We couldn't be happier with our garage conversion into an office and our laundry room improved. It has made a huge difference to our home and our family. Nigel was recommended by a neighbour, and we are forever recommending him to other people. Nigel provides a first class service.

We cannot thank Nigel and the team enough for the work he has done for us in regards to our garage conversion and bedrooms renovation. He and team were professional and with some changing requirements was able to pivot and still keep the project on time. The team were great with the family as we were living in while the renovation was being brought to life and they made sure there was minimal disruption to our daily life which helped especially with myself working from home at the time. They also took the time to speak to our little girl who was very intrigued about what they were doing which put us at ease and became part the family for 7 weeks. Overall the workmanship was exceptional and we cannot wait to have them back for future projects.

We highly recommend Nigel and his team and definitely agree that they are five star builders. Our garage conversion/extension was completed with the minimum of fuss and maximum care. Nigel impressed us throughout with his attention to detail, his willingness to listen and turn our sometimes vague ideas into excellent reality and his commitment to getting the job done, which meant he often worked late in order to finish something completely rather than stopping in the middle. He managed the entire project for us, recommending an architect, liaising with the building regs team and ensuring that the various different trades turned up on time and knew exactly what to do. He kept us fully informed of any factors that were likely to affect the cost so the final bill did not come as a shock. Overall, it was a very good experience. We would definitely use Nigel and his team again for any future work.

I have used Nigel (YES) twice previously for renovation of my then two houses and have always been impressed by the quality of work and competitive pricing. It’s fair to say I wouldn’t use anyone else. I have just recently had my outhouse converted into a room and of course Nigel was my choice for this project as well.. Nigel is exceptionally good at keeping you informed. He gives you options when changes are needed. Keeps you updated with any additional prices (only for additional unforeseen extras) otherwise remain in the quote. He is very professional and considerate of your home and keeps things tidy. The craftsmen / women he employs for other tasks are always pleasant and exceptionally good at their jobs as well as fully qualified Nigel deals with the building regs etc and ensures that certificates such as electric / gas are completed. Nigel is highly highly highly recommended

Nigel and the team completed a new kitchen extension, new patio and fencing, and remodelling of the old kitchen into a new cloakroom, entrance way and cupboard. Competitive quote, high quality work from all the team and completed only 3 weeks overdue with all the COVID19 challenges, we were impressed. In early summer 2016 A young's completed a renovation / extension and hard landscaping project for us ( including a new kitchen and shower room ) All work was to a very high standard and tradesmen very professional , 5 stars out of 5 .

As we were delighted with our wall we then asked Nigel later in the year to manage our renovation project and convert our garage into a large kitchen and once again pleased we chose Youngs to undertake this project. Nigel provided full project management from start to finish and even took care of all building control inspections on our behalf so we could just sit back and leave it to his expertise. He was also able to supply and fit our new kitchen which was paramount for us as we didn't want any extra worries or stresses especially when work being carried out and wanted one firm to do the whole job which they successfully delivered. Nigel and his highly skilled team were a pleasure to have in our house and always remained professional. Each night they would tidy up and stayed late where necessary in order to complete current phase of the project. The team were always friendly, courteous and polite and this was imperative as we occasionally had two young children in the house whilst work was carried out. In a nutshell I would have no qualms whatsoever in recommending Nigel Young and his team as they are truly professional, hard working and a credit to their industry and trade.

Nigel and his team completed our loft conversion to an office, for which the stairs and joists were already in place. He provided an excellent, detailed quote (unlike the other quotes we received). Although all the plans and building regs were over 10 years old, his team completed the project to a very high standard, liaising with building control and keeping in touch regularly, letting us know what to expect each week. They were polite, friendly, hard working and tidy, and the project was completed within a few weeks. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend their services.

Two years ago Nigel and his team completed a two storey extension of our house. This included the supply and fitting of a large new kitchen, two bathrooms and a long run of bi-fold doors. We also required a major internal reorganisation of the existing building, including the removal and re-alignment of staircases. The standard of the build and works (to an agreed price) was high. The few inevitable unknowns that crop up when you take a house apart were met with suggestions, options and advice. We lived on site throughout the build and the team were really considerate and tidy. Nigel project managed the build personally and work never ceased or staggered. Lastly, he remembers absolutely everything you agree - no reminders or nudges, things just get done. It was a very satisfying experience and two years on, we still have a lovely extension with no issues.
