Matt and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They completed some structural work in our terraced house which could have been very disruptive, but managed to keep mess and disruption to a minimum (both for us and our neighbours). They did the job to an excellent standard, came on time each day, kept us updated throughout the process, and completed the work within the estimated timeframe. They also liaised with building control to make sure that we got all the required sign-offs. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Matt & his team. All very professional, clean & tidy. I had a wall taken down between my small dining room & kitchen. The mess was kept to a minimum & the job was completed in good time. Would definitely use Matt & his team again.

Abbey Building Contractors completed an almost whole house transformation of our very dated and run down home including internal structural changes to create an open plan kitchen/dining area, moving an upstairs bathroom, fitting of 4 Velux windows, removing a dilapidated bay window and fitting a new kitchen and utility as well as lots of other bits and bobs. From the initial meeting with Matt to discuss our plans, our minds were put at ease, and he explained the process and costs involved clearly and with no jargon. Matt and his team were punctual, polite, communicative and a pleasure to have in the house. We were kept informed of the work that was taking place and were consulted when any additional decisions needed to be made. The end result is stunning and doesn’t even feel like the same house, we are thrilled!

Matthew of abbeybuildingcontractors.co.uk did a large extension, complete ground floor alteration and bedroom and bathroom renovation for our house. The work included rear extension to open up the ground floor for open plan kitchen/living/dining room with under floor heating, bifolds, skylight, new toilet, new utilities room, new plumbing and electrics, Plastering and painting and decorating. We then got the team back to do other projects like removing of chimney stack, chimney breast and new bathroom and bedroom refurbishment. He is very helpful and knowledgeable and a great asset to have when doing any kind of building work. Matthew and his team are an absolute pro! Come rain or shine they work above and beyond to deliver a high end finish, Matthew has been professional throughout and kept us well informed throughout the process. Highly recommend and will continue to work with them on future projects.

We commissioned Abbey Building Contractors to build a rear extension to our 1930s semi. The extension resulted in a new open plan family room totalling nearly 60 sq. m utilising the kitchen and part of our lounge/diner in the existing house and knocking through the rear wall across the width of the house into a new ground floor extension with pitched roof and underfloor heating throughout. We lived in the house during the works, which lasted 16 weeks. We are absolutely delighted with the finished extension and could tell Matt, Chris and all the Abbey team take a lot of pride in their work. Overall, the experience was a lot less stressful than we expected, which is saying something as a family of five with a two year old! It has completely transformed the ground floor of our house and we have no hesitation in being able to recommend Abbey. We now spend all our time in the new family room and absolutely love it! Thank you Matt, Chris and all the Abbey team!

The two storey rear extension was completed to very high standards as expected. The workers were very good, punctual and always tidied the place at the end of the working day. The work was very tidy and to a high quality finish.
