The project was to create a vaulting ceiling with roof lights to a seating area in the public house. Stanley removed a flat internal lathe and plaster ceiling to expose the roof rafters and trusses. Repairs were made to the roof structure and approved by Building Control. The exposed timbers were painted with intumescent paint, and the new ceiling fire boarded. Two new openings were trimmed and flashed for velux windows, and the internal was plastered and decorated to a good finish with the ceiling joists left exposed for character. The area was thoroughly cleaned and decorated.
This project was independently inspected as part of the joining criteria for the FMB.
