When approached by the Romanian Cultural Institute London with regards to helping with the final design and subsequent construction of a temporary floral planter display in Central London we were happy to work with them on this unique project. Different to what we normally work on during our regular working day, it was both a fun and interesting project to undertake. We consulted and drew up a final design with the shape of the planter to mimic the shape of Romania at the time of unification. It was also paramount to take into consideration the restrictions of the surrounding area and by the council, and to ensure it could be maintained easily throughout the event. We proposed materials to use and worked with the team at the Romanian Cultural Institute London, to create a wonderful focal point for their botanical display.

The walls were covered in an Italian plaster to create a unique and warm finish. We then dressed both these properties with furnishings and key pieces.

The owners of this maisonette were looking to sell the property; however, some internal alterations had been carried out on the property without the freeholder’s consent and did not comply with building control regulations. We made some internal alterations to ensure the property complied with building regulations, which included some structural work opening a chimney breast, the moving of a Velux window and the construction of an internal hallway. The floorboards were covered in blue paint and other bits throughout and required a lot of restoration work to make them good again.
