Like most businesses, we were challenged with the global pandemic COVID19. Although we did not stop trading throughout the pandemic, obtaining materials and rising costs of materials and labour was a struggle. We maintained our labour costs, we were essentially swallowing the added labour costs as we gave significant rises to our staff. Our team worked and have been working brilliantly considering the climate we are in. Lots of materials are still hard to obtain even at inflated costs but we have managed and it is something myself and my business partner Matt are proud of. To come through this time is a massive achievement and has been very stressful. We are grateful our amazing workforce have been with us throughout (all have been with us the last 20 years or more)! Subcontractors have stayed with us too although the industry has been busy and we have sometimes struggled for certain trades e.g. steel roofing contractors (which is specialised).
