To provide a detached new build environmentally friendly, sustainable family home, ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding environment. Sam Wilson Architect created the design. Pre-build meetings between the clients, designer, and DLE Construction Ltd, fine-tuned the design to produce the final build you see today. The modern, fully open-plan living area has been uniquely designed to capture natural light, utilising the south-facing aspect of the plot. We have incorporated the latest technologies including ground source heat pump, Solar PV with battery storage, solar thermal, heat recovery system, underfloor heating, rain water harvesting system, triple glazed Velfac windows and oversized wall, floor and roof insulation. We have created a unique home for our client’s growing family, which is both practical and comfortable with affordable running costs.

We set out with a vision of a highly energy efficient home for our family in a green belt location. From the moment we received planning DLE were involved and very helpful with getting the project started. The property design imposed some heavy implications on the build but DLE used their skills and the necessary research to accomplish it. We worked closely throughout the build with them. They were always on site managing the build, explaining the process and involving us in every aspect. Rain and shine they continued to build a very difficult construction for our family - based upon maximum insulation. We changed the design mid build and this was catered for and the DLE team worked with us to create the home we have today. The DLE team worked very well together and managed to foresee and accomplish things we worried would be impossible during the covid lockdown. They created exactly what we wanted to a high standard and found creative solutions to what we wanted to achieve.

Around 15 years ago we experienced Water Ingress in our bedroom and since then we have had 4/5 builders, a new roof, new flashing, new gutters, new windows and a cavity tray (which was apparently never fitted properly). It has been a nightmare which year on year became worse, with us unable to decorate, re-furnish and having a selection of buckets spread across the floor whenever it rained heavily. Around 18 months ago we tried DLE Construction in Bradshaw who had some great reviews and they were local to us. David and his team have worked through a number of possible solutions, always opting for the least disruptive and expensive first - so a trial and error approach. Throughout they were professional, through, clean and precise - we felt we could rely on them to do what they said. We are so pleased and happy with everything and if we have any other building work in the future there is nowhere and no one else we will turn to. Thanks David, the team and Laura from very happy customers.
