Our client has a love for music and owns an … Read more Very grateful to be given the go ahead with this loft project. The brief was to create a much needed music room to the loft space. Our client has a love for music and owns an extensive collection.The loft was completely stripped out, a velux window was fitted first to allow for some much needed naural light. New power and lighting was installed (1st fix). Large structural timbers were fitted independently of the original loft floor joists.The floor joists were insulated with T&G caber chipboard laid over.The rafters were increased in size to allow for air flow and 100mm eco therm insulation. The loft was completely plasterboarded and the 2nd fix electrics completed. Plastering and internal finishes are to be carried out on phase 2.
Project suitability .... All year round.
Our client has plans to extend the property on the ground flooor with the possiblility of extending the loft over.

The design and material choice was all chosen by our clients.
A combination of brick bond & Herringbone tiling was installed for the shower area and porcelain wood effect planks for the floor. Underfloor heating & wall lights, including a heated mirror were also fitted.
The suite comprised of a traditional roll top freestanding bath, w.c, marble top 2 basin vanity unit with a coloumn towel rail.
New joinery was installed, including some floating shelves. The room was fully redecorated and is now being enjoyed by the family.

All timber elevations, windows and doors were subject to intensive preparations and a Duluxe weathershield system was applied.
The guttering & rainwater goods were replaced as to was the fascia & soffits to the 3 rear dormers.

The … Read more Very happy to be instructed to carry out the repair works for this project.The timber joists, plates and brickwork had failed, mainly due to poor air ventilation.
The kitchen & appliances were removed and set aside for reinstallation.The rotten floor joists and everything below was removed. The existing electrical power circuits were shown to be sub-standard and had to be removed.
We installed conrete lintels to support the new floor joists. We fitted some telescopic air-vents and carried out the remedial work to the brickwork.The new electrical ring main was fitted and some plumbing and gas alterations were carried out. T& G flooring was laid over the joists. Jackoboard tile board was fitted over and primed ready to take the ceramic floor tiles. Once the floor tiling was completed we refitted the old kitchen and worktops. During the project we created a new utility rooom and fitted a new wc to the clients bathroom.The final electrical and plumbing connections were completed and the clients were very happy to be back on safe ground once again!

This prominent property within the 'The Hastings Conservation Area' involved extensive structural repairs, including replacing many of the ornate mouldings and detail work. … Read more This prominent property within the 'The Hastings Conservation Area' involved extensive structural repairs, including replacing many of the ornate mouldings and detail work.The existing concrete roof tiles were removed, insulation was fitted within the roof space to meet current building regs. Spanish slates were used to cover the new roof whch are in keeping with the Victorian era. Remedial work was carried out to the chimney and firewalls and painted to finish.
The existing windows were replaced with bespoke Aluminium powder coated replacements, meeting the requirements of the Conservation Officer.
The fascade was rendered using a lime render, allowing for a more natural finish but more importantly allowing the property to breathe. Once cured, a breathable paint system was applied for a bit of colour!
Premium metal guttering and rainwater pipe were fitted for style and longevity.

To the rear and sides elevations, a single storey extensive was … Read more The overall objective was to create, modern, contemporary additions to this stunning detached property.To the rear and sides elevations, a single storey extensive was constructed to accomodate a 50+ metre open plan kitchen with adjoining utility.
To the front elevation, a further single storey extension was constructed to make way for a grand entrance with a balcony above.
The exterior, including the existing structure was finished with a coloured render.
A mixture of fixed glazed panels, sliding and bi fold doors, including a roof lanntern were installed, to allow for additional natural light giving easy access to the outside entertaining spaces.
A special feature of the build was the design of the external lighting, which certainly sets it off.
Internally, the property was subject to complete rewire, new underfloor heating, with many structural allterations and was fully renovated.
The clients vision and design should be congratulated for a truly outstanding end result. Read less

THE SOLUTION.
The existing areas were fully stripped back to brick with ceilings removed.
To rejig the windows and doors to the rear elevation to new design.
New power and lighting was installed, including zoned primary underfloor heating.
The floor was levelled and tiled using a natural stone to compliment the new kitchen.
The vaulted ceilings were insulated and plastered as were the walls.
A handmade kitchen was fitted along with cream stone quarz worktops.
THE RESULT.
A truly stunning entertaining space, which works well for our clients.

THE SOUTION.
To remove the old fireplaces, flooring, joists, studwalls and plaster finishes.
Structural repairs were caried out to all affected brickwork with new lintels fitted.
New ventilation was introduced and floor joists fitted. The client was able to source reclaimed floorboards which we fitted over the insulated floor.
The old openings for the fireplaces were made bigger to make way for two new log burners complete with liners. The chimney was restored and pots fitted.
The walls were treated for damp and fully replastered with lime render applied to the inside of the fireplaces.
The reclaimed floorboards were sanded and finished in oil.
New joinery was fitted throughout and the property which was then fully redecorated.
THE RESULT.
A stunning property, fully restored and tastefully furnished by our clients.
Good repair work on a Victorian house that had been cheaply renovated about 16 years previously. This included removing the ground floor to place joists, lintels and new floorboards, work on chimneys and solving various problems that were not obvious, such as installing air bricks, moving a gas boiler and creating plaster work to match the original mouldings. This required taking the initiative to investigate hidden problems as well as solving them.”

To remove all the artex finishes to the walls and ceiling and full stripout the interior.
The property was fully rewired with a new heating system fitted.
The original staircase was removed to make way for a stunning glass and oak replacement. The property was fully insulated, plastered with new joinery fitted throughout. The parquet floors were revitalised with the property subject to a full redecoration. The heating and lighting had been installed with smart technology controlled via the clients i-phone.
THE RESULT.
A truly stunning property, fully transformed with all the lastest building and technical advances of modern day living. Our clients were delighted with the end result and have received positive reviews from their friends and family.

Our clients were having to access the washing machine etc through the front of the garage which was becoming a chore!
THE SOLUTION.
The existing dividing wall was demolished and rebuilt with new floor joists fitted. A new door and frame and window fitted. Services extended with new insulation, plastering. New laminate floor and joinery fitted with decorating to finish.
THE RESULT.
A goodsize dining room with an eight seater dining table with access to the garage from the home.
Having worked with hundreds of builders these guys were totally professional they gave advise and far surpassed the normal levels of workmanship normally seen in this sort of job.
