Roddy McCafferty
Having decided that University wasn't for him, Roddy got a job with a small local building contractor, who unfortunatley fell on hard times and had to let him go. Roddy approached us for a position as a labourer, and once we met him we felt he would be more suited to an apprenticeship.
We applied through the CITB to get him registered as an adult apprentice, and provided the appropriate evidence to prove he had a level of experience that would preclude him from starting as a 1st year.
Roddy is always keen to learn and once he has been shown something once, takes it on board and applies it with his exisitng knowledge to plan ahead and make sure he does not make mistakes.
He is the first apprentice that Tradesmen ask for when they know they have a man and boy job upcoming.
