In February 2016, Hindley Contractors undertook works to add a new pitched roof to one of BOC’s Gas & Gear shops in Peterborough, as the estimated cost to repair the existing flat roof was not cost effective.
The works took two weeks to complete and we liaised with the local authorities to ensure planning permission was granted to the client at the earliest opportunity.

In February 2015, we started works to build this new entrance extension, which included two office areas, an entrance lobby and a store room. The design of the building featured a curved front wall with monocouche render finish and powder coated aluminium fascia and soffits. Internally, we supplied and fitted a bespoke hatch and counter in the lobby area and assisted the school with recommendations towards suitable finishes to match their needs.
Following successfully completing the works in May 2015, we were awarded further works in the existing building to refurbish all eight other ground floor office areas to match the finishes in the new extension, which was completed in August 2015.

In May 2015, we were asked to form a new entrance ramp suitable for disabled access, following a scheme to increase the amount of teachers, parents and pupils walking to school.
We assisted with design recommendations prior to completing the works during a two week period and the new entrance is used on a daily basis, with the scheme being a success in reducing traffic around the school during peak times.
