We were the main contractor appointed to construct this new home on a turnkey basis in Spring 2019. It was a difficult start to the build as we discovered the engineers designs for the foundations were not suitable due to the proximity of very large poplar trees to the site. We assisted the client in having new drawings made to show a raft foundation suitable for the site. From then on, we completed all groundworks, installed a sewage treatment plant and formed the timber frame on site. We installed attic trusses so that the facility is there to extend if the client ever wishes. A little unusual, we installed a cement based corrugated sheeting on the roof. The external walls are faced with a mixture of local ham stone and Siberian larch. I think these 3 key materials work exceptionally well together to give the impression of a contemporary barn. We installed high performance double glazed PPC aluminium doors windows from AluK. The home also benefits from a Mitsubushi air source heat pump which fuels the under floor heating and hot water. For finishes we installed a Howdens kitchen and utility. Moduleo LVT flooring was installed throughout the ground floor and bathrooms with the bedrooms and stairs being carpeted. We completed and handed over to a happy client in early 2020.

We were the main contractor appointed to construct this traditional farmhouse style, 2 storey new home on a turnkey basis in Spring 2019. A ground bearing slab was installed on the prepared site with a traditional block construction and externally faced with Devon Churt flint blocks and brick with a tiled roof. We installed attic trusses so that the facility is there to extend if the client ever wishes. The client opted for chart green upvc double glazed windows which compliment the property perfectly along with matching fascia. The kitchen/dining area had bespoke oak framed double glazed doors opening out onto a veranda framed with oak posts and cladding to the underside of the external roof structure. Finishing - The ground floor was primarily laid in Lime stone flooring and hardwood floor to the living room. The property is heated by a ground source heat pump and under floor heating. We completed and handed over to a happy client in early 2020.
