This 6 bedroom Edwardian home was fully modernised and extended while remaining sympathetic to its historic origins after being sold for the first time in 50 years. Although the footprint of the house didn't change hugely, apart from an extension on the ground floor to create space for a kitchen and dining area, a new second floor was added.
From day one upcycling and recycling on a large scale was prominent and important. It was important to retain as many of the original features as possible an to identify these while stripping out so that during the renovation process these could be re-incorporated. Essentially recycling the house from the insides to the shell in the most sustainable way possible.
It was important through all of this to retain the Edwardian beauty of the property which we achieved.
