Most houses have the potential to create extra living space in their lofts. It is particularly useful in terraced houses where there is no potential to extend to the side or rear.
New regulations came into effect from October 1st 2008 which allows you to treat a loft conversion as 'permitted development' which does not require an application for planning permission.
However the conversion must adhere to certain limits on size and conditions on structure which our Project Manager and Surveyor can go through with you.

John did a very complex kitchen refurbishment for me in Sept 2016 and relaid the decking in May 2017.
He is reliable, trustworthy and honest and always kept me informed on how things were progressing.
John and his team of skilled workmen all did a professional and thorough job.
I will be asking John back in 2018 to update my ensuite shower room and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

In Spring and Summer 2014 John Bailey carried out a very substantial refurbishment and modernisation of our house involving:
- Stripping off wood chip wallpaper and replastering throughout
- internal redecoration
- new lighting internal and external
- re-positioning telephone/broadband line/satellite tv altogether in a cupboard
- creation of new units and bar in lounge/dining room
- laying of oak flooring on ground floor
- external redecoration
- new roof
- replacement of downstairs loo
- installation of new patio door
In doing this John had to introduce and co-ordinate a workforce including a plumber, electrician, roofer, carpenter, double glazing installer, scaffolders and decorators. Plus co-ordinate delivery of building materials and removal of rubbish.
We were grateful to John and the workforce in carrying out all this work in a competent, timely and cheerful manner with a great deal of expertise and at a cost which in our opinion was fair and reasonable having in mind the cost of materials and the extensive work carried out over a period of six months.
