K.E. Hornby & Son Limited removed fireplaces in two rooms in our house, built two walls in our lounge, made an archway in one and fitted a door in the other. They also plastered the whole room, It has totally transformed our lounge and we are very happy with the results which are still wonderful months afterwards. The team worked very quickly and efficiently. They kept us informed as to where they were up to the whole time of the job and were totally professional, kind, pleasant and skilled. They went out of their way time and time again to get the job to a great standard and to fit in with our wishes. We were actually sorry to see them go at the end! We will be contacting them to do further jobs in the house as the experience was so good. We would definitely recommend them for any job you may need doing. Kevin, Kyle and their team were extremely punctual, professional, easy to communicate with and proactively offered solutions to emergent problems discovered in the course of the job. We asked them to help us out at short notice when a simple job our handyman was doing for us revealed deeper structural problems with rotten bathroom joists, which we needed additional help to resolve. When Kevin came to quote for the work, his time spent thoroughly investigating, considering the implications and talking through the options indicated great depth of experience, and gave us confidence the job would not be underestimated and snowball further. They finished the work in an extremely short time frame, and to a high quality with the minimum of disruption. This was exactly the service we needed at a time when we were already stressed from the unexpected additional cost and lengthier disruption, so a great Thank You to K E Hornby and Son, highly recommended.

Kevin, Kyle and team were excellent, they completed a big extension on our house. The team were always polite, courteous and professional and nothing was too much trouble. They never came to us with a ‘problem’ but always a ‘problem…..that had a solution’. Their work was to an extremely high standard and they were all lovely guys. We would highly recommend them.

KE Hornby & Sons came as a recommendation from a friend who had worked with them in the past and we are so thankful that they did. From the first correspondence to the final sign off they have been fantastic to deal with. The work was completed on time and to an excellent standard and they were always approachable, easy to communicate with, honest and hard working. They are very conscientious and treat the job as if it was their own property and always ensured the site was left clean (as possible for a building site!) and tidy. My wife and I are over the moon with the extension that K E HORNBY and Sons did on our property under hard times in the building trade. The job ran smoothly from start to finish, Kevin and Kyle his son kept us well informed as to what was happening and when. a challenging project with many unique features. I believe that the whole team enjoyed the challenge and never once complained despite having to drive miles to get supplies and the long lead times on materials the job finished on time and on budget. We have had many compliments from people just passing our house and it makes us proud that a local builder and his family have achieved a high quality build under a tight budget that really is something special. An excellent company who I cannot recommend enough. I’m now happy to call them friends.
