This house was one of our largest projects and was originally designed by a local architect as a substantial extension and renovation to an existing building. During the initial meetings with the client, however, it was decided that the design would be re-submitted as a new build. We took on the project during this time and assisted the client through the planning process and re-design, including a basement. We took care of co-ordinating architectural services, structural engineers and specialist contractors. We worked alongside the client to project manage the entire work from demolition of the old farmhouse to the completion of the build including groundworks, the installation of tanked and water managed cellars, state of the art electrical, lighting and entertainment systems. We also included a sprinkler system to the whole house. The basement includes a bespoke wine cellar.

This project required careful matching to the existing brick and wood to ensure a seamless blend. We accompanied the client to visit several brick yards and reclamation yards to find just the right materials prior to the build commencing. The extensive interior changes consisted of 2 new bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities, as well as changing the existing layout of the first floor. This project meant the removal of the existing garage and the construction of the new 2 story extension.
