This project has been featured in Grand designs magazine and Won FMB Northwest Medium renovation award.The project involved the conversion of a turn of the century house (previously extended and divided into two houses) back into one property again. The build comprised a full internal and external renovation and an additional extension across the rear. A key objective of the build was for a sympathetic renovation that retained the existing original features within no.60. This then formed a design guide, of joinery details, plasterwork and an overall aesthetic to incorporate back into the modified portion of the houseThe concept and general arrangement was initially developed between ourselves, the client and architect (RJG Architecture Ltd). After this was established, we worked closely with the client and interior designer Rachael Marsh (Feather & Paint) throughout the remaining development and construction phases of the project.

HMO - Student accommodation

This project was a recent renovation we completed on an existing student property.
The clients request was to modernise this property for student attraction, whilst keeping in line with current HMO regulations.

I found Lathom Joinery and Construction to be very experienced and capable builders, who take a pride in their work, with a can-do attitude. I have used them on several projects, i.e. extensions, new build and providing me with solutions on steel supports and drainage. They are an energetic team, who are knowledgeable in all types of building work, i.e. footings, brickwork, joinery, roofing, plastering, and the supply and fitting of kitchens, including quartz and granite worktops. The team leader, Craig, talks you through all aspects and ‘uncomplicates’ all issues. Also, this company’s rates are competitive, which is always an important factor.

We had an almost complete property that the previous builder had abandoned and left us holding the baby with. Craig and his team at Lathom Joinery & Construction came in, assessed what was needed and took over the project. Craig’s knowledge and contacts have been invaluable, he was able to identify what issues existed and put them right. Missing items were sourced to match what was already there and the corrective actions flawless. We’re now living in the property and any issues that have arisen since then have been addressed swiftly and economically. Craig is always on hand for advice and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his company.
