This project involved demolishing an existing rear extension and creating a new Douglas fir and brick extension that blends modern design with heritage elements. Highlights include exposed timber frames in the garden outbuilding and pergola, crafted from structural grade Douglas fir, and beautifully finished Douglas fir plywood interiors. The garden features repaired walls painted with mineral paint, perforated clay brick floors, and new planters. A Bauder green roof, zinc-clad roof planter, and custom joinery, including Douglas fir doors and windows, enhance the space. The 19th-century doors were renovated and updated. The project also included Yorkstone pavers, a new pond, and a complete overhaul of the electrical and drainage systems. Final touches included encaustic cement tiles for the servery and comprehensive decorating.
