The objective of the project was to create a new build rural family dwelling which responded to its context and had a minimal impact on the surrounding landscape and wider environment. Studio B Architecture undertook the design of a passivhaus certified dwelling working closely with the client to develop a solution which supported their current lifestyle and future aspirations. The dwelling is approximately 250sqm on 2 storeys with the plan arranged to take benefit form a southerly aspect and the views across the County Antrim countryside. The construction is timber frame, with larch and fibre cement cladding and a sedum roof.
