Testimonials

We would highly recommend Martin Bruno Construction as a very professional and competent contractor. They undertook a complicated refurbishment at our home which included side and rear extensions, new windows, entrance doors and roof lights. The workmanship was completed to a very high standard and 12 months after completion there are no defects which is a testament to the quality of their work. The detailed costings in their tender enabled variations to be accurately priced and monitored during the construction period. The final account was agreed in a quick and professional manner. Steve, Malcolm and the sub contractors were respectful of our home and kept the disruption to a minimum. If we ever have the opportunity to do another major project we will be ringing Martin first. Hi Martin This morning I have paid the final invoice on line which I trust you have received. I am most grateful for a job well done and am forwarding my testimonial. “The project was to build a new garage joined to the existing house by a utility room, plus extension of a downstairs toilet to include a shower and hand basin. As it was my first building project, I have appreciated Martin’s professional skills and good communication from beginning to end and it was reassuring to be kept informed at every stage. The builders were reliable, hard working and friendly despite the winter weather, whilst associated tradesmen worked well as a team. I am now enjoying an attractive extension to my home finished off to a high standard, flowing easily with the existing house. The outside brick match is excellent so the appearance of the whole house is enhanced. Thank you Martin and team for a job well done !” Kind Regards Jeanie

Dear Martin Just taken a breath to catch up with some admin rather than painting!! Yes I’m still painting… Having spent six weeks of upheaval Michelle and I would like to pass onto you our sincere thanks for the very professional, ethical and cooperative way in which you dealt with the work to our home. I am always sceptical, not knowing what to expect from trades people but feel blessed that our choice to work with you and the team was the right one and that we were in safe hands throughout. Please pass on our thanks and best wishes to Malc, Steve and Richard for the competent and professional way in which they carried out such important work for us. Thanks again. It may be a while before we have anything else done to the house but we know where to come should the need arise. We are very happy for you to use this as a future testimonial and are very pleased to be able to recommend your services to others. Kind regards Michelle & Peter

Martin Bruno has worked on two major projects at our house, which is a converted 19th century hop barn with two circular hop kilns. The first involved the repair and refurbishment of a 1980s two storey extension to the barn. A long sagging oak beam had to be reinforced by the insertion of a steel plate, the ceiling/floor between the upper and lower rooms replaced, and various other faults corrected before the rooms could be reinstated. From the first moment we met him Martin showed a ‘can do’ attitude to the considerable building challenges involved, researching possibilities and solving a number of unexpected problems as they arose. The second project was the complete renovation of the 1980s kitchen in the house. This involved demolishing walls and stripping back the floor to bare earth and the walls to stone. Not only does Martin have great problem solving skills, and extremely high standards of workmanship mirrored by those of his team on the ground; he is also very good at listening to clients and adapting plans as projects develop. He made a number of design suggestions for our kitchen which we adopted and are very happy with. We would recommend the work of Martin and his team without hesitation. In great haste, Yours Deborah
