The project involved demolishing an existing property to make way for a new bespoke detached three storey family home and associated landscaping.
Having won the initial tender process Nickell & Richmond (N&R) worked closely with the client and their architect to further value engineer the brief to bring the project within an acceptable budget.
The building is packed with energy saving features using a range of modern construction techniques and an extensive palate of materials.
The rear of the house and in particular the kitchen / living / dining area is very contemporary, single storey section clad in black cement fibre sheeting, panels of reclaimed brick salvaged from the original house and a flat roof fitted with a sedum moss covering.
