We were instructed to build a kitchen extension in order to gain additional space for dining, attaining a more social layout & taking advantage of the garden views; transforming life at home with an open-plan layout. At the front elevation of the extended wing, the elegant tones of the Chilmark limestone show up in a perpendicular course laid beautifully against the reddish multi stock brickwork; that frames the rear entrance. Our expert stone mason, used traditional methods & machinery to cut the stone pieces in different sizes to create the repeated laying pattern at regular intervals, leaving a luxurious look and something the owners will be proud of for many years to come. The side elevation is again built using the natural stone, except with a brick quoin feature detail, drawing attention to the corners of the wall. The gold creamy tones & texture of the stone compliment the brickwork; by combining the stone & brick, we were able to create a refined classic look.
