The client wanted to extend their home to accommodate a gym and have a separate storage area. 

This single story extension was built with a combination of engineering and pre-worn face brick, to match the original structure. 

The side wall was demolished to open up the inside space.

A garage door was fitted to the front and French doors opening up on to the patio.

This single story rear extension was block built. A steel goal post system was used to complete the 10 metre knock through into the original building, using 2.5 tonne of steel framing. 

The roof had modern flat tiles with 3x skylights fitted. Bifolding doors were installed to the back. 

The customer wasn’t ready to render yet, but we’ll be back when they are!

The project consists of a single storey rear and side extension. The new extension has been covered with a pitched tiled roof incorporating three Velux windows and insulated with 125mm PIR, walls are constructed of traditional block work cavity insulated with full fill cavity batts externally finished with K-Rend, all of the existing property has also been rendered and new windows and doors fitted throughout, new drainage has been installed to the rear of the property. Internally large steels have been inserted supporting the knock through and upper floors, all walls and ceilings have then been completed to a plaster finish.

This project was independently inspected as part of the joining criteria to become a member with the FMB.

The client wanted to add some head height and light to their child’s bedroom. The brief was to match the existing dormer in the next bedroom.

The area was stripped, dormer structure fitted and made fully watertight in one single day, reducing the risk of leaks. 

Dormer windows were fitted and the room boarded and skimmed, with a patch of new flooring installed. 

The roof was covered with a rubber membrane system which carries a 25 year warranty.
