The newer Hospital building is approximately 10 years old and already having problems with a number of leaks on the flat roofed areas. The original 'single ply' membrane on this stairwell roof had failed in several places. We applied the Kemperol 2K-PUR solvent free system with great success in April 2010 and there have been no further leaks despite a substantial amount of rain since then.Before and after photos below.

This extension to the original georgian farm building houses toilets and store rooms for the coffee shop. To blend in with traditional methods a lead covering was applied when it was built. The centre has good public access next to the A66 road however this also worked in favour of thieves who stole the lead covering for its scrap value! In July 2007 we applied the Topseal GRP system to the roof with simulated lead roll components to recreate the cosmetic appearance of a traditional lead roof. The Topseal system carries a 25 year guarantee a life expectancy well in excess of this and furthermore....absolutely no scrap value to passing would be thieves!
