Scott completed a single storey extension, new kitchen and ground floor re-modelling for us in April 2023. The work was done over the winter, but despite a few delays outside of his control, Scott completed the work as planned, both within the original budget and timescales. We were extremely impressed with Scott’s knowledge and ability to deal with and solve any problems that cropped up during the job. He and his team were very tidy and considerate and we (and the two cats!) managed to live in the house for the duration of the build. We were delighted with the project and would highly recommend Scott for any type of building work

Scott and his team recently completed a single storey extension with a vaulted celling. I was kept up to date along the process and he was open and flexible to the changes we made along the way. I have a young baby and was concerned about the disruption in the house but Scott worked around us to make it a pain free experience. The work was carried out to a very high standard and would fully recommend Scott to anyone planning building works.

Scott and his team did a fantastic job on our single storey extension. He kept us up to date with how the build was going and had the ability to flex when needed. The workmanship of all the different elements needed in our build were excellent. Although any work in your home can be stressful, Scott and his team made it a comfortable journey. This was not the first time we had used Scott for building work and i am sure it won’t be the last. We would fully recommend Scott for any building projects you may have.

I have completed an extension and garage conversion project with Scott Hyndman in 2020. He had been extremely professional to provide Pre work advise. He did not hesitate to speak and discuss what needs to be done . Further he provided a professional quotation, started and finished to the schedule. The work standard is great and detailed with the building control rules and regulations I would recommend Hyndman building Services . S. Hyndman Building Services Scott's previous work looked excellent and his quote was detailed and competitive. This project was important to have a Local business as part of a fantastic opportunity for the Community. Scott was thorough and detailed in all aspects of the build from day one. Scott and his team were extremely hard working and were very patient with any adjustments that had to be made. He dealt with Planning Authorities very efficiently and worked any issues without any problem and his expertise as a Master Builder certainly helped the very difficult project at times. Scott and his team went above and beyond at times and nothing was a problem to help. We have no hesitation in recommending Scott for any new build , or indeed any building services required.

Scott and his team have been fantastic. They are practical, calm and can-do, delivering our extension to a very high standard of finish and responding positively to changes along the way. We had expected that we would need to move out for a least a short while, but this proved unnecessary as Scott was respectful of managing the project so that we still had enough space and security to remain comfortable throughout. We are really, really pleased with the end result.

Scott's work looked excellent and his quote was detailed and competitive. In addition to this he pointed out a couple of issues the planning consultant I had used to draw up the plans had missed, single brick side wall, and where specifically the supporting walls were. He was able to explain how these issues could be addressed by having a couple of extra pillars and adjusting the steel beams, plus use an adjustment to the roof design to ensure the extension was supported in the correct way. This made minimal difference to the quote but highlighted his expertise as a Master Builder. Scott's project management was excellent and the co-ordination of each skilled task avoided delays to the build. I have no hesitation in recommending Scott. The project was on time, on budget and we are very pleased with the quality of the job. It has made a fantastic difference to the upstairs and garage area.

We apprached Scott following a recommendation. The quotation process was straight forward with a clear breakdown of work and payment schedule. The quality of building work was excellent, with the new brickwork and roofing matching very well with the existing house. Scott and team members were very friendly and happy to explain the work being done. We were able to able to discuss changes during the build and Scott made it clear and simple to manage. We have recently have a 2 storey side extension to our house built by S Hyndman Building Services. As with any big project there is always some trepidation in having to put trust in someone else hands and skills. We needn’t have worried Scott was open andhonest throughout the project. He took no decision without consulting us first. He provided his recommendations and guidance, including pros and cons throughout the project. Scott was on site almost every day, his communication with his team was excellent,he ensured everyone knew exactly what they needed to do. The team of bricklayers, electricians, chippies, plumbers and labourers were all hard working, respectful and polite. We didn’t have a single concern or issue, which when you are living on site duringan 8 month build is quite amazing. As the build approached completion Scott’s eye for detail was abundantly clear as he would walk through and identify snags that we had not even noticed. Hewould ensure these were put right. Throughout the build we felt as though the entire team were all focussed on ensuring we got the house and home we had hoped for. They earned our full trustand respect through their integrity. Overall the build went to plan and budget, there were no hidden surprises! We are very happy with our finished build and would certainly recommend S Hyndman Building Services to anyone considering a building project.

We spoke to the builder prior to submitting the plans for Planning Application to help decide if the works were within our budget. The advice given was useful. Following permission, he was booked in. The start date given was accurate, and he was in contact before hand to discuss the plans in more detail and understand our requirements. The work was carried out in a professional manner, and the team were sensitive to us living in the house while the work was being done. They left it in a tidy state at the end of each day. Importantly, any changes were agreed before they were made so we had a good idea of what the impact on cost and time would be. The builder took care of building regs inspections and arranging visits for the signing off and all certificates needed. The final cost was as agreed.

I recently had some renovation work and a new kitchen installed by Hyndman Building. I was very impressed by the quality of their work and the timescale within which it was completed. Scott and his team built our first floor extension. His quote was detailed, competitive and accurate. What sets Scott out from other people we have worked with in the past is his focus on what we as the homeowner wanted and delivering on that, even when we tweaked what we had originally set out to do. We liked his ‘can-do’ approach throughout the build; when there was the inevitable problem that couldn’t have been foreseen, he worked out how to resolve the issue and found a way around it. His ability to remain calm and not be fazed by anything was appreciated during what is always a stressful, albeit exciting, time. His team were approachable and just really nice guys to have on-site. We’re delighted with the high quality end result and we have no hesitation in recommending him – and indeed have done already!

We approached S Hyndman Building Services because we required a brick inner porch, oak outer porch, driveway and 3 room extension which included a vaulted ceiling. After obtaining numerous quotes we chose Scott because his quote was competitive and well detailed. The work was started and finished on time and was of a high standard. We particularly liked Scott's payment schedule which did not start until after the first part of the work was completed. Scott's workmen were friendly and approachable and the whole experience met our expectations. I would recommend S Hyndman for all the afore mentioned reasons and in particular for the brickwork that blended in so well you cannot see we had work done.
