The project was work in progress at the time the photos were taken, with a front porch and patio areas still to be completed. Our client approached me to project manage his housebuild and after meeting with his architect it was agreed we would manage the build. Along with my son Craig Smith and my nephew Ben Howard, we undertook the construction of the house. We had the engineer come in and set out and then we took control of the project.
Steve Kingdom Groundworks came in with his machinery and we began excavations. Our client did wish to have any steps in the concrete so the lower end of the building has substantial volume of concrete in it ensuring the foundation was completely level.
Building to DPC then block and beam. The whole footprint was massive and we joked with our client that helicopters from the nearby airport would soon be landing there - a big spray painted H didn’t help his nerves!
Rooms on both wings had to be almost identical as did the pitch of the roof, tiled expertly by 1A Roofing.
Comprising of 4 large bedrooms, a large living room, a study and dining room leading into the sun room alongside a massive kitchen.
The project is essentially complete apart from some external walls, slabbing and the drive, which will be completed at a slower pace to suit the client.
We are immensely proud of the project, often taking new clients to view it an example of our work, which has worked brilliantly in our favour. We're eternally grateful to our client for his kindness in allowing us this access. Read less
Creally Adventure Park
After building 3 x shower block units for the creally team we were asked to return to build bridge walls to entrance to new luxury caravan site
Ian and the team quoted fast, fitted us in quickly, were flexible when we amended the jobs required, and provided comprehensive explanations of the work carried out. They cleaned up afterwards and were friendly and approachable. Communication was brilliant - I received quick replies to my many queries about things. Can't comment fully on the standard of all the work, as some was at a high level, but the lower-level work looks neat and professional. We were glad we employed them for the job.

Ian, Craig, Robbie and later Brian were all exemplary in their timekeeping, courtesy, honest communication and cleaning up. The original quote and timescale were kept to and they showed great flexibility, responding to our many additions and extras, as well as commissioning others for specialist tasks like electrics and plumbing. The quality of the finished product was excellent; we are so delighted to have had the neighbour tip which began the job that we have shared our pleasure with other prospective clients. To have basically shared our space with 3 (at times several more) relative strangers is not an easy undertaking but, in the context of the finished extension, large deck, front patio and hard standing, we are as pleased as could be. Finally, Ian is an excellent communicator and listener, very skilled at the delicate tasks liaising with sources, suppliers and especially coordinated timings. He is also very responsive; we now regard him as a friend.
