Completion Date: 2006 This extensive restoration and renewal project created a much-needed new community facility for the Warwickshire villages of Bourton, Draycote and Frankton, as well as restoring a listed Toll House to its former glory. A glazed link forms the junction between the new and old buildings while the new hall extension is finished with cedar boarding and terne-coated stainless steel roofing. The unusual decaying historic toll house in the small village of Bourton on Dunsmore, near Rugby, was restored to its former glory thanks to a £49,900 award from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The curved 19th century Grade 11 listed building was gifted to the village in 1971 and forms part of the village hall for the small communities of Bourton, Draycote and nearby Frankton. The Gault brick was restored with ashlar dressings on the bowed building, which also has a curved verandah on the front. The two sections to the hall were joined using a glazed link, allowing the toll house’s unusual shape to be revealed.

Completion Date: 2008 Wickstead Lodge is a completely unique, one-off new build property in Blackdown, near Leamington Spa. Symon were tasked with constructing this bespoke property to an exacting specification using state-of-the art materials and stunning interior design elements. The house includes one of the largest one piece double glazed units in the UK with a stone wall in front of it. The stone is unpointed to allow the light to spill through and the entire two-ton wall is motorised so it operates like a giant curtain.
