We were fortunate to have Crafty Duck (James) remediate a disaster of a piece of work completed by a prior tradesman. We are very pleased with James’ work. He put thought and pride into what he did, and we are delighted with the finished product. Additionally, James is very tidy and goes to lengths to ensure that the minimal mess is created whilst he’s working, and that all mess is cleared upon completion. We would have no hesitation in using James again, nor in recommending him.

25 year old bathroom completely gutted . Walls, ceiling, floors replaced . Replasterd, painted and retiled to a high standard . New bath, vanity unit, towel warmer, in line extractor & shower From start to finish James was honest about the costs and work required and cut no corners. His work was meticulous and came in on budget . We couldn't be happier with the outcome . Recommened .

James from The Crafty Duck is an excellent carpenter and ‘Jack of all trades’. He is extremely knowledgeable and versatile with a wide range of skills and an ability to problem solve for awkward jobs. He is extremely polite, clean and tidy in his workspace with great care for his equipment which is kept in impeccable condition. He has completed two huge jobs for us - new kitchen install and bespoke handmade wardrobes/dressing room. He never cuts corners & reasonable on costing.

We contacted James back in 2020 following on from a recommendation from one of his previous customers as we had recently purchased a property although structurally sound required decoration and overhaul of all services. Our initial requirement was to replace the main bathroom that required a complete overhaul. A major benefit working with James is his ability to switch between all trades (carpentry, electrics, plumbing, tiling and general re-decoration) providing an excellent job in each. Another major benefit working with James is his good advice on design options available and his ability to deliver on that design to a very high standard. From our initial requirement to overhaul the bathroom, James has since completed a complete renovation of all rooms including 5x bedrooms, en-suite and fitted kitchen and utility room to a very high standard that has always been commented on by visitors who have seen the before and after renovation. All in all a great job done.
