Observation by the independent inspection company as part of the joining criteria.
A demonstration of how ground screws would be used in the installation of a small garden room/ shed.
The pre-determined positions of the ground screws were marked on the ground.
A laser level was set up to determine the level of the tops of the ground screws.
A hole for the ground screw was started off with a wrecking bar.
The ground screw was then positioned by hand and levelled up.
The machine for screwing the ground screw into the ground was then set up.
The machine was then fixed to the top of the ground screw and it was screwed into the ground.
The maximum speed of this operation was 12 RPM.
Once the ground screw was in place to the correct level the process would be repeated at the other pre-determined locations
A pull-out test was also demonstrated, which would determine the ground resistance to loading.
