When thinking about doing a loft conversion, it was easy to get overwhelmed by the number of companies to go for and all the things that could go wrong. Thankfully, we received a recommendation from friends to contact Ben and the team at Top Division Lofts and after looking at the work completed, we gave him a call. So glad we did! Our loft extension was completed by Ben and the team on time, exactly to request and a very high standard of finish. Not being particularly "handy" ourselves, Ben was always on hand to offer advice if required and took time to sit down and make sure we used our space effectively and within required guidelines. It can also be daunting having workmen coming through your house daily but we did not even notice they were there. Always on time, polite and left the house spotless before we got home at the end of the day. Ben has a great connection with his subcontractors and this made the work particularly efficient and effective. I would happily recommend Ben and the team but equally, happy to take a call from anyone and show the workmanship of the team.

Top Division Lofts completed a loft extension at our property. They were very easy to deal with and were very efficient with getting the works completed, all within three weeks. The standard of workmanship was excellent. We had a couple of structural challenges to overcome and they gave us more than one solution in each instance which was great. Ben Hollows was recommended to us by our neighbour who had just had a second loft conversion completed by Ben. We were impressed by the high quality of the work.
Ben has done many loft conversions with different requirements and designs and is clearly highly experienced. We discussed our own needs with him and he helped us to decide on the best layout and plan. He introduced us to an architect to draw up plans and organise planning permission, and then Ben made all the necessary arrangements with building control, scaffolders and suppliers before starting work.
He had given us a fixed price estimate, with dates instalments would be due and a shorter build time than we imagined would be possible, confirming that the work would be done while we were away on holiday. He began on time and finished when he said he would, and he kept us up to date with the work while we were away, with messages and photos. He was always polite and friendly, as were his team, and the house was clean and tidy when we returned home. We had asked for a large bookshelf to be built in addition, and this was made to order at a reasonable extra cost. He was also available to come and sort out extra painting outside the loft area after he had completed the work. The work from start to finish took just over 4 weeks.
We are very satisfied with the quality and finish of Ben’s work and would not hesitate to recommend him for a loft conversion.
