The ceiling was vaulted to couple with a complete knock through of the existing external wall to form a vast open plan area stretching kitchen, dining room and lounge. The large amount of glass helped to give a very natural light, with the help of three Velux and to sliding patio doors, leading onto the patio! To gain the fleet pitch of the roof, a slat system was used to allow for the low pitch as well as inverted dormers to accommodate the existing windows.

This is a great example of how an older small house can be transformed into a large modern home. The first-floor extension wraps around both the front and sides, with an additional second storey bathroom. Major steel work, after demolition of an internal wall, also gave birth to a large living room. Two new bathrooms have been installed and to complete the look on the outside, a patio and pathway were laid. We are pleased to say that the customers were very happy and has been a proud project for us also.

Wall to Wall builders built our extension in 2017 & we would be very happy to use them again, as well as highly recommend them to others. We initially chose them as they provided a competitive & detailed quote of what exactly was included & when payment would be due in a number of instalments throughout the build. Once work commenced they concentrated on our build & worked conscientiously & always clearing up after themselves at the end of each day. Richard was always at the end of the phone if we had any queries or ‘small’ changes to the plan & nothing was too much trouble. Overall we were very happy with the work & the final result & particularly the fact they finished the job on time & on budget.

"Ann & I would like to thank you and your team for the wonderful extension built at The Firs, Snow Hill, Clare.
We consider the work to be of a very high standard which was completed in the agreed timescale.
All costs were discussed and agreed prior to commencement of works, and any unforeseen increases were again discussed and agreed prior to implementation.
The team commenced work every day without fail at 8am leaving at 5pm until the job was complete. Everyone worked hard and efficiently to a high standard of workmanship. No radios were played on site, and all the team were very courteous to us and our neighbours at all times.
We would not hesitate in recommending Wall to Wall Builders to anyone considering any building works, they will not be disappointed by the quality of workmanship

We were so glad that you could come up to Yorkshire, having used your services when we lived in Suffolk. It was amazing that you were able to build the extension so quickly. We are delighted with it. The site remained clean and it is so reassuring to have a builder on site who can deal with all aspects of construction, guess that the benefit of using a 'general builder' and not various tradesman.
