WMR are currently engaged in the refurbishment of the grade B Listed church at Cathcart Road, behind Hampden in the Mount Florida area. The scope of works includes the largest heritage roofing project in Scotland at project inception. Works are currently ongoing and look to be completed in 2025.

WMR were appointed appointed as Principal Contractor to the alteration, refurbishment and CAT-A office fit out at this B Listed office development in Glasgow’s city centre. Works were to split the existing office space to create two new bespoke units, served by a new corridor, toilets, plant room and protected zone.

WMR were commissioned to undertake the award winning refurbishment of the buildings foyer with the aim of creating a luxury space that matched the buildings heritage. Works involved the removal of internal partitions, ceilings and doors to construct an open plan foyer. A new fire refuge zone was constructed and the existing fire detection system altered to suit the new layout. Marble was imported from Italy and used to create a feature wall and formed the new marble floor, inlay and stairs. The recessed ceiling was constructed to mirror the marble inlay creating a sense of symmetry.

WMR were appointed as Principal Contractor for the CAT B fit out of this office in Blantyre. The works involved the conversion of the former cafe/restaurant into functional and high quality office space including the installation of fully fitted kitchen and breakout area, toilets, meeting and board rooms. Completed across a 4 week program and working in conjunction with an interior designer to bring the clients ideas to life. 

WMR was appointed as the Principal Contractor for the refurbishment of the disused basement on the ground floor of the building. The scope of work was to transform the dilapidated corridor and male and female toilets into luxury washrooms and an accessible corridor to the car park for the tenants of this Grade A office development.

WMR were appointed as principal contractor in the refurbishment of this B Listed church in Glasgow’s West End. In conjunction with Historic Scotland, the local authority and Contract Administrator works were overtaken in a short 8-week period and included:

• Lath & plaster repairs
• Dry rot repairs
• Scaffolding
• Decoration
• Overhaul of M&E systems
