The renovation of the former dance hall, originally constructed in the 1800’s, is a unique restoration project to remodel the existing dilapidated structure to form a modern, contemporary family home. The main objective of the project was to restore the original structure to its former glory, whilst achieving an environmental conscious build that also delivers social impact to local supply chain and local community. We were initially engaged by our clients whilst they were considering purchasing the property to provide advice and guidance. From the outset the client’s vision was clear, and we were emotionally invested to deliver their vision. The former dance hall did not have planning permission at this stage and was in a dilapidated state, therefore we were engaged along with an architect from concept design stage, through feasibility, to securing planning permission and restoration of the property.
