Join FMB Scotland Director and Certified Passivhaus Designer Calum Duncan for a quick guide to Passivhaus Design and Construction.

Having recently completed the Passivhaus Trust course for Certified Passivhaus, Designer Calum Duncan will provide an overview for Scotland members of the design criteria and some implications and considerations for achieving the Passivhaus and EnerPHit certification.

This is a great opportunity to discuss some of the key benefits as well as challenges around the certification and consider how relevant the standard is to building homes, and non-domestic building types. No previous knowledge is expected and Calum (who is a former cynic about Passivhaus) is looking forward to chatting with members on the day.

The November meeting will be the latest in our series of informal virtual meetings for Scotland members. The online meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month. Each time members have the opportunity to network with other members and voice your concerns and ideas. Challenges with clients, materials, trading conditions, apprentices, and business growth are some of the topics discussed during our Zoom meetings.

The Zoom meetings also help the FMB to listen to and engage more effectively with members right across Scotland. FMB Scotland’s Director, Gordon Nelson and Simone McAllister who leads on membership engagement in Scotland host these meetings.
