We write to all businesses that are found to be using our logos and/or wording that makes claims they are a member of the FMB when they are not. Unfortunately not all of the businesses contacted remove the false claims and continue to mislead consumers.

Any business which ignores our request to remove the logos is reported to their local Trading Standards who are the statutory body which can (and does) prosecute for logo misuse, which is classed as a criminal offence under the Consumer Protection Regulations.

If a business continues to claim they are a member of the FMB they will be listed on this page until we receive evidence that they have removed the claims.

To confirm a builder is a member of the FMB use our Check a member search. If you find your builder is not an FMB member but is claiming to be you should report them to [email protected].

You can also find a list of expelled members on the website.
