Leytonstone-based C1 Construction & Development Services Ltd brought modern and traditional together in their renovation of this Victorian build in Forest Gate, London to secure the national Medium Renovation Project Award.
C1 Construction & Development Services Ltd began by stepping inside the structure and visualising the ideal outcome, carefully considering the local streetscape and the surrounding buildings. The team took an array of pictures and explored several different concepts before settling on one that felt “honest and exciting”.
The team proceeded to restore and re-cove the original fireplaces, install new box sash windows, re-work the façade and reconstruct the Victorian pathway before turning attention to the staircase and wall-panelling. Finally, a marble bathroom and a modern kitchen was added to complete a highly comprehensive build that reinvigorated the property.
C1 Construction & Development Services Ltd agreed a fixed price with their client prior to starting the project and scheduled regular on-site walk-throughs at the weekends to discuss progress. They delivered on-time and within budget, demonstrating the true commitment to the FMB’s values of quality and exceptional customer service.
