As a member of the Federation of Master Builders, you have a premier opportunity to showcase your expertise and connect with an engaged audience at the Homebuilding and Renovating Shows in 2024. The shows attract a huge audience of consumers actively looking to embark on significant home building and renovation projects and take place in exhibition centres all over the UK over the course of the year, from Glasgow to Somerset.

Engage directly with potential clients

Visitors are searching for skilled professionals who can turn their visions into reality. As an FMB member, you're already recognised for your quality and expertise, making these shows the perfect platform for you to meet potential clients.

At the advice centre, you can engage with visitors through 15-minute sessions, offering consultations and advice. This setup allows for meaningful interactions, not only giving you a chance to showcase your knowledge and skills directly to those who need it most but allowing you to assess the suitability of up to 25 potential clients in-person each day, without making many journeys to visit them.

FMB members present a masterclass at the Surrey show in 2023.

At most of the shows there’s also the chance to present a 20-minue masterclass on stage to an audience of homeowners, most of whom will be planning a project in the near future. If this is of interest, the FMB are here to support you with a co-branded PowerPoint presentation and assistance on the day, so there’s very little to organise.

Success stories from past participants

Past participants have found substantial success; for example, Glorious Garden Rooms Ltd picked up a £120k annexe project last year and Graline Construction Ltd have told me that they secured an £82k extension. Another member is currently quoting on £2 million of work after their participation at a recent show.

Gaining trust and increasing credibilty

These shows are not only about generating immediate business but also about building relationships and gaining trust from potential clients. While the FMB will promote your presence at these events, being able to position yourself as an expert in your industry at high-profile events such as these and incorporating this into your own marketing strategy will significantly raise your credibility among potential clients going forward.

Mark your calendars

The next opportunities to get involved are:

Farnborough Homebuilding and Renovating Show from 13-14 January 2024.

National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the Birmingham NEC from 21-24 March 2024.

Consumers attend from all over the country so there’s a genuine opportunity to meet your next clients. The events usually span from 10am to 5pm and you have the flexibility to take part for one day or more.

Benefitting the whole FMB

Are you doing the FMB a favour? Yes. As a non-profit federation, the FMB's success is directly linked to the success of its members. Every initiative that enhances the collective reputation of the FMB positively impacts the individual businesses within it.

If you're interested in being part of this or want more details, please feel free to contact me. These shows are a fantastic opportunity for FMB members like you to elevate your business.
