Terms & Conditions

  1. The promoter of this prize competition is the Federation of Master Builders (Limited by Guarantee) (FMB), registered in England under No. 368163. Our Head Office address is David Croft House, 25 Ely Place, London EC1N 6TD.
  2. The promotion is for a prize draw competition to win 1 x £200 FMB Amazon Voucher.

Who can enter
The prize competition is open to anyone fully completes the survey by Monday 11 November 2024.

  1. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. 

The prizes
5.    There is only one of each prize available.

  1. There is no cash alternative for the prize.  
  2. The prize is not negotiable or transferable. 
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize (or any part of it) with an alternative prize of equal or higher value.

How to enter
9.    The competition will run from 9.00am on 19 August 2024 (the "Opening Date") to 11.59pm on 11 November 2024. All entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 11.59pm on the Closing Dates. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified and will not be counted.

  1. To enter the competition, you must complete all questions requiring an answer (optional questions are at the users discretion).
  2. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The Promoter will not accept:
  4. a)    responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
  5. b)  proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
  6. The Promoter will not accept entries that are:
    a)    automatically generated by computer;
    b)    completed in bulk;
    c)    illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
    d)    incomplete.

Winners
14.    One winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received before the Closing Dates, by the Promoter in the presence of an independent observer.

  1. The Promoter will contact the winner(s) personally as soon as practicable after the Closing Dates, using the email address provided.
  2. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted or are not available within 28 days of the Closing Dates, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Dates.
  3. Please allow 54 days for delivery of the prize. 

Data protection and publicity
18.    The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the FMB Privacy Policy. 

  1. The promoter will not publicly announce the winner.

Limitation of liability
21.    Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, or that of its employees.

General
22.    If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to extend, hold, void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition or any part of it without prior notice or compensation where it becomes necessary to do so. 
  2. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
